Sister 2 Sistah is a Houston-based organization on a mission is to help college-aged women of color from across the country. Many women suffer in silence as they struggle to achieve their academic goals and we offer love, support and services, letting them know that hard times won’t last forever.
The founders, Rebecca Briscoe and Nakia Cooper were inspired by their own struggles to create a platform where young women are given a fighting chance to be someone. These influential women come from a place of understanding.
Sister 2 Sistah has been on the move, committed to lending our hand, uplifting and giving back to those in need. We have a “hand up” not a “hands out” mentality, stressing the importance of pulling one up, mentoring, then preparing them to pass it on.
